The Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission

27 June, 2024

Jane Duncan OBE PPRIBA, EQN steering group member, has been appointed to the role of Architectural Adviser to the Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission for the International RIBA Competition. This seeks a multi-disciplinary team to work with the Memorial Commission and the Grenfell community, to design and deliver a bold and fitting memorial to those who perished in the Grenfell Tower tragedy and those whose lives were changed forever.

The Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission, made up of representatives of the bereaved, survivors and local residents, will decide on the most fitting and appropriate way to remember those who lost their lives in the Grenfell tragedy.

The families of those who lost their lives, their homes, and others who were directly affected, have been consulted on the principles underpinning the process towards agreeing a fitting memorial.

You can read more about the competition, it’s background and aims as well as watch the video released to mark the seventh anniversary of the tragedy, on the Memorial Commission’s website.
