
Mary Bowman
Partner, Gustafson Porter + Bowman
Mary is a founding partner of Gustafson Porter + Bowman. Her experience as both a qualified Architect and Landscape Architect has allowed her to share knowledge and promote landscape architecture as a vital profession in the design of the built environment.
Mary is currently leading a large multi-disciplinary design team for the Eiffel Tower project in Paris. She is the partner in charge of the Stratford Cross landscape and the recently completed King Charles Street Quad. Mary has collaborated on high-profile projects ranging from the Treasury Courtyards, the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain, Valencia Parque Central in Spain and the Marina One development in Singapore.
Mary studied architecture at the University of Virginia and the Architectural Association. She worked for Foster + Partners for over a decade, where she was one of the first female associates. In 1999 Mary joined architects Walters & Cohen as a Director. In 2002, intrigued by the relationship between landscape and architecture, Mary joined Gustafson Porter and currently devotes her energy to landscape design and the direction of the practice.
