Jo Wright joined Perkins and Will in 2023 as Managing Director for the London studio. Previously she was Arup’s UKIMEA Architecture Practice Leader from 2015-22. She is an outstanding designer with excellent relationships with many of the UK’s most eminent construction professionals and contractors. She was a member of Arup’s global Architecture Exec working with leaders across five regions to evolve Arup’s Total Design offer and build an integrated global team.
Jo has a longstanding interest in sustainable development and wellbeing and has delivered buildings which have secured BREEAM Outstanding accreditation and been recognised with awards from the RIBA, the Civic Trust and the BCIA. She is currently project director for several major projects including the masterplan for Battersea Power Station’s Future Phases and the creation of an innovative Health and wellbeing campus in a deprived area of south west Wales. Jo has a passionate belief in the positive effects of good design on end users.
In her previous role as a Partner in Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, she led design teams for a variety of award winning and innovative projects, in the UK and overseas, winning 10 National RIBA Awards, Sustainability Awards from the RIBA and the Civic Trust and the first ever BCO Innovation Award. She was responsible for leading the design of many of FCBS’s most well-known buildings including their first BREEAM Outstanding building, the Hive in Worcester; and headquarters for Greenpeace, the National Trust and the Woodland Trust.
